My name is Jaime Hystad,

My pottery journey began about three years ago, sparked by a love for nature and a desire to create something grounding and real with my hands. Working with clay connects me to the earth. It is a slow, meditative process that brings balance, creativity, and beauty into everyday life.

Each piece is inspired by the natural world around me — the forests, mountains, and waterways of Northern BC where I grew up exploring and learning from the land. I focus on making everyday functional pieces that are meant to be used, loved, and lived with — mugs that warm your hands, bowls that hold your favorite meals, and pieces that bring quiet joy to your daily rituals.

My pottery blends rustic textures with organic forms, embracing the perfectly imperfect nature of handmade art. Every creation carries its own story — shaped by earth, fire, and intention.
